Connect Display.dev so Claude can publish reports, presentations, and other work as HTML or Markdown pages. Each published piece of work is an artifact, with its own link.
One connection covers Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, and the mobile app. It also covers Claude Code when you sign in to Claude Code with the same Claude account.
On Pro and Max, Cowork is part of Claude: there is no separate Cowork mode. On Team, and on Enterprise until an admin turns on Chat and Cowork unified (beta), Cowork is still a separate mode. The connector setup is the same for both.
Connecting the MCP server does not change Claude's code-execution network policy.
Large staged files require a Claude Team or Enterprise administrator to allow
api.display.dev; personal Claude Pro and Max currently support only small inline
publishing through this remote connector. See Claude code execution.
Display.dev is listed in Claude's connector directory as Display. Add it from there: there is nothing to type. Claude shows a Community label on the listing because Anthropic screens directory connectors but has not reviewed this one in depth.
Individual account
- Open Display in Claude's connector directory.
- Select Connect.
- Sign in to Display.dev, choose the organization, review the requested access, and select Authorize Claude.
The connector then appears under Customize → Connectors.
Claude Team or Enterprise organization
An Owner or Primary Owner adds Display for the organization first: open Organization settings → Connectors, find Display in the directory, and add it.
Each member then opens the Display listing and selects Connect to complete their own authorization. A member without permission to add connectors sees Request instead, which asks the organization's Owners to add it.
Add by URL instead
If you prefer a custom connector, open Customize → Connectors, select +, then Add custom connector, and enter Display.dev and https://api.display.dev/v1/mcp. On Team or Enterprise, an Owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web first. Claude Free accounts can add one custom connector.

Enable it in a conversation
Open the + menu in the lower-left corner of the conversation, select Connectors, and enable Display.dev. Where Cowork is still a separate mode, do the same in a Cowork task. Confirm that the connector exposes the Display.dev tools. Do not publish an artifact just to test setup.
Publish your first artifact
Once Display.dev's tools are available, use the first-publish example to create a Private sample and open its link. Then see Publish with your agent to publish your own work and choose who can open it.
Reconnect or remove
If Claude says Couldn't reach MCP server, confirm that Display is enabled under + → Connectors for the conversation. For a connector you added by URL, also confirm that the URL is https://api.display.dev/v1/mcp.
For an authorization failure, including a tool call that returns 401, open Customize → Connectors, disconnect Display.dev, then connect it again. Complete the authorization flow before retrying.
You can also revoke the Display.dev grant from Connected apps. Revocation takes effect immediately. Claude cannot call Display.dev again until you reconnect and authorize a new grant. Claude Team and Enterprise Owners manage organization-level removal under Organization settings → Connectors.
