What Notion released
The Notion 3.6 release note ("External Agents, HTML blocks, and more", 1 July 2026) says that Notion Agents can create interactive HTML blocks. The blocks live in the doc, so teammates can use them or change them. The note gives three examples:
- An ROI calculator for a customer.
- A quiz that scores the answers.
- An org chart from a people database.
The note names no plan and no limits for HTML blocks.
What the note does not say
The release note does not say who can open an HTML block outside the Notion workspace. It does not say how a block works on a published Notion page. Check the Notion help center before you depend on either one.
When the HTML comes from a different tool
A Notion Agent creates an HTML block inside Notion. HTML from Cursor, Codex or Claude Code is a file. To share that file with colleagues, tell your agent: "Publish roi-calculator.html to Display for my company."
Colleagues sign in with Google or Microsoft (Pro) or with a one-time password. The agent publishes each update at the same URL. Display has no seat fee for readers. Notion prices by member. Read Notion alternatives for the comparison.
When Notion is the better choice
- The calculator belongs inside a wiki page, next to other content.
- Your team already works in Notion and changes blocks together.
- You need databases and relations next to the HTML.
FAQ
Is the Notion HTML block on every plan?
The release note names no plan. Check the Notion pricing page.
Can Display host a Notion HTML block?
Display hosts HTML and Markdown files. Copy the HTML of the block into a file and publish the file. Parts that use Notion data will not work outside Notion.
Can I change the HTML after I publish it to Display?
Yes. Select Edit in the browser to correct a line, or ask the agent to publish an update. Each change is a new version at the same URL.
Free tier. No credit card. One-time password auth for viewers on free, Google + Microsoft SSO on Pro (€49/month flat).
