What HTMLSave does
Its fold is a single form: a textarea that also accepts a dropped file, a vanity subdomain field, an optional password field and a submit button. Sign-in is with Google, and there is a premium upgrade.
For a personal page that is a good trade. The optional password is the only thing between the page and anyone who has the URL, which is the part that stops working the moment the content belongs to a company.

When HTMLSave is the right tool
- A personal page on a name you pick
- The vanity subdomain is free and immediate.
- Learning
- Pasting code and seeing it render at a URL is a fine way to work, and nothing about it needs company auth.
- A public snippet
- If it is meant for anyone, the simplest tool wins and that may well be this one.
An optional password field is the whole gate
- Optional means usually skipped – A field you can leave blank on a page you publish in a hurry.
- Filled in, it is still one secret – Shared by everyone who has ever been told it, revocable for nobody.
- No viewer list – Without a sign-in there is no name to record.
- No company boundary – "Only
@acme.comaddresses" is not something a password field can express.

Common questions.
Is display.dev free like HTMLSave?
There is a free tier: 10 gated artifacts, unlimited public links, one-time password authentication and unlimited viewers, with no credit card. Anonymous publishing needs no account at all.
Can I pick my own subdomain?
Organizations get their own subdomain for artifact URLs, and Enterprise adds a custom domain. There is no per-page vanity name the way HTMLSave offers one.
Can I paste code instead of uploading?
Yes. The web app accepts pasted HTML or Markdown, and the CLI reads from stdin.
Why no password option?
Because a password cannot say who read the page and cannot be revoked for one person. A one-time password to a named address does both, and it is on the free tier.
Does my page get indexed by Google?
No. Artifacts are served with noindex, so a public page can be opened by anyone with the URL but does not turn up in search results.
