# Policy page template

A company policy in plain Markdown – a TL;DR, limits in a table, how to claim, the rules, how to ask for an exception, and a dated change log.

- Format: Markdown
- Detail page: https://display.dev/templates/policy-page
- Raw template file: https://display.dev/template-sources/policy-page.md
- One-click anonymous publish (no account): POST the file to https://api.display.dev/v1/public/artifacts as multipart/form-data (`file` field)

## Agent prompt

Write our company policy on Display. Fetch https://display.dev/template-sources/policy-page.md and keep its sections: a TL;DR, a limits table, how to claim, the rules, exceptions, and a dated change log. Fill it from our current policy document. State every limit as a number and give each change log row a date.

Publish it with the Display MCP publish tool if connected. Otherwise POST the file to https://api.display.dev/v1/public/artifacts as multipart/form-data (`file` field, optional `name`) – no account needed. You'll get back `previewUrl` (the link to share) and `claimUrl` (one-shot link to take ownership). Reply with both.

## What this template is for

A policy that answers the question in the first screen. The TL;DR gives the
main rules, a table gives every limit as a number, and the change log shows
what changed and when.

## How teams use it

- **One page per policy.** Expenses, travel, leave and security each get their
own page in the same folder.
- **Answers stay with the policy.** Finance records each exception as a
comment on the page, so the next person sees the answer.
- **Versions you can point to.** Each saved version keeps its date, so you can
see which rules applied on a given day.
