# The AI-native Notion alternative for your whole company

Notion turns an agent's HTML into blocks and charges for every member. Display keeps the file as your agent made it. You pay one flat price, and the people you share it with read it free.

Kestrel's Q3 churn review, an HTML report with its own layout and chart, open on Display. The version history lists four versions at the same URL. Claude Code published v1 for Ana Ruiz. Codex published v2 for Ben Okafor. Priya Shah edited v3 on the page. Cursor published v4 for Maya Lind. Version 4 answers Priya's comment “Can we split EMEA out?”

## Should I use Notion or Display?

Use Notion when people write most of the pages by hand and you need databases, tasks and real-time co-editing. Use Display when agents write most of the docs, or when many people only read them. Notion converts an agent's HTML into blocks, so layouts, charts and scripts do not come across. Display keeps the HTML or Markdown file as the agent made it, in Spaces and folders that your team and your agents search. Notion charges for every member. Display Team is one flat price of €79 a month for up to 150 editors, and viewers and commenters are free. Many teams keep the databases in Notion and publish agent docs to Display.

## Notion and Display, side by side

Both keep a team's docs in shared spaces with search. Display keeps the files your agents write as they are, and readers are free.

## What your agent made is what people open

Agents write HTML with charts, tabs and their own layout. Notion stores pages as blocks, so an imported HTML file keeps its text and loses the rest. Display publishes the file as it is.

- **In Notion:** Imported as blocks
- **In Display:** Published as made

Notion's HTML import keeps headings, text, lists, links and simple tables. It does not import layouts, styling, scripts or embeds, so the chart does not come across.

## Pay for the company, not for every reader

In Notion, every colleague who reads a private page is a paid member. In Display, readers are free, and the price stays the same as the team grows.

- **Notion Plus:** €345 a month for 30 members. €11.50 per member a month, billed monthly. €9.50 billed yearly. Notion AI needs Business, at €23.50 per member a month.
- **Display Team:** €79 a month for 30 readers, or for 10 times as many. €79 a month, billed monthly. €59 billed yearly. Up to 150 editors, and viewers and commenters are free. Includes Shared Spaces, Google and Microsoft sign-in, and who opened each doc.

Prices without VAT, checked 2 October 2026 on notion.com/pricing and display.dev/pricing. Display does not include an AI model. Your team uses the agents it already has.

## Built for docs that agents write

Ask your agent to publish the doc to Display. Your team comments on the page. The agent reads the comments and publishes the next version at the same URL.

## Edit any document in-line.

Fix any line right where you read it.

1. Select Edit on the page
2. Change it on the page
3. Save – the next version at the same URL

## Share each doc and Space with the right people

A doc stays private until you share it. Then choose who can open it – one doc, a folder or a whole Space.

- **Private by default** – Every doc stays private until you share it with people and groups.
- **One-click sign-in for colleagues** – On Solo and higher plans, colleagues use the Google or Microsoft account they already have. Readers need no seat.
- **Invite people outside your company** – Invite clients and partners by email, and give each one a role: Viewer, Commenter, Contributor or Editor. They need no Notion account.
- **Know who opened it** – On Team and Business, see who opened which doc, and when, before you follow up.

## Notion or Display?

Many teams use both. Notion holds the databases and the task boards. Display holds the docs that agents write, in Spaces that your team and your clients can open.

### Keep Notion for

- Databases, projects, tasks and forms.
- Pages that several people edit at the same time.
- Notion AI inside the pages your team writes by hand.

### Use Display for

- Reports, plans and prototypes that agents write as HTML or Markdown.
- A company wiki in Spaces and folders that you and your agents search and keep current.
- Docs that your whole company or your clients read, without a seat for each reader.

## A full workspace behind every URL

### Spaces and folders

A Space for every team, with folders inside and its own permissions.

### Search everything you can open

You and your agents can search every doc you can open.

### Work across every agent and plan

Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, on personal or company plans. One doc, one URL.

### Build internal apps (private beta)

Develop applications that pull data from your sources.

### Connect your data sources (private beta)

Pull data from the sources your team already uses.

## Before you move from Notion

### Is there a per-seat fee?

No. Display charges one flat price for the company. Team is €79 a month, or €59 a month billed yearly, for up to 150 editors. Viewers and commenters are free and unlimited on every plan, including Free.

### Does Display have databases?

Not yet. Display holds documents – HTML and Markdown files – in Spaces and folders. Internal apps that read your data sources are in private beta.

### Who can open a doc?

A new doc is private by default. You can share it with people and groups, open it to everyone in your company, or make it public. People sign in with Google, Microsoft or a one-time password before a private or company doc opens. Enterprise adds SAML sign-in, for example with Okta.

### How do people and agents work on a doc together?

Teammates comment on any line of the page. People with edit access select Edit and change the doc right on the page. Your agent reads the doc and its comments, publishes the next version at the same URL, and resolves the threads it answered. Each save or publish adds a new version. On Solo and higher plans, you can open and restore earlier versions.

### Can people outside our company contribute?

Yes. Invite them by email to a doc or a folder, and give them a role: Viewer, Commenter, Contributor or Editor. They sign in with a one-time password, Google or Microsoft. They do not join your organization.

### Can people on personal Claude plans share docs with our Claude Team or Enterprise users?

Yes. Display does not check anyone's AI plan. Everyone signs in to your Display organization with their work email, whether their agent runs on Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. They all publish to and open the same docs.

### Which agents work with Display?

Any agent that writes HTML or Markdown, for example Claude Code, Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor. Agents connect through the Display MCP server, the CLI or the API. Each person can use a different agent on the same doc.

### What can I keep in Display?

HTML and Markdown files open as pages: reports, dashboards, specs, prototypes and slides. Folders also store other files, for example images, PDFs and data files, so people and agents find everything in one place.

### Can Display replace Notion or Confluence?

Yes, for the docs that your team and your agents write: specs, plans, reports and wikis. Spaces and folders organize them, search finds them, and people comment and edit right on the page. To move existing pages, export them from Notion or Confluence as HTML or Markdown, and ask your agent to publish them.

### Can I see who opened my docs?

Yes. On Solo and higher plans, every doc shows its view count. Team and Business also show who opened each doc, and when.

### Can a published page call other services?

Yes. An Owner adds the domains of those services to the domain allowlist in Settings. Your published HTML pages can then get data from those domains and send data to them, for example from a form to a webhook. The other service must also accept the request. Display does not add a login or an API key, so keep secrets out of the page. The Business plan includes the domain allowlist.

### Does Display use my content to train AI models?

No. We do not use customer content to train or fine-tune any AI or machine-learning model.

## Publish the next report where everyone can read it

Display works with Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, ChatGPT and any other agent that writes HTML or Markdown.
